This course will introduce students to key concepts in how to design effective technological teaching materials in order to deal with the requirements of an educational system that is in a continuous developing process. The students will be asked to create their own teaching materials for their future teaching situations, as well as use Moodle (the URV's learning environment) on a regular basis.Thus, it aims at helping students achieve the following objectives: -To be able to familiarize themselves with the main approaches in second/foreign language teaching in a technology-enhanced environment -To be aware of the needs of the students in their classroom and be able to adapt to their necessities. -To provide students with access to the new tools of learning a foreign/second language -To develop the students’ awareness towards several aspects while they are teaching and planning their classes in a technological environment, such as: objectives and assessment, internet based activities, learner autonomy and course management software, etc. -To be aware of the unexpected problems that might appear while they are teaching and using new technologies in the classroom and to be able to come up with possible solutions to improve them. -To be able to adapt themselves to different teaching environments and be aware of the key competences and communicational skills of the foreign language they are going to teach.
