General description and relevant information

In this course we will study the history of the current territory of the USA, from the colonial period to the present. It will be divided into four major historical stages understandable from three periods of rupture:
Rupture-1: The European conquest of the non-hispanic North America.
Stage-1. European colonization (British, French & Dutch) (1607-1754).
Rupture-1. Of the Franco-Indian war ("war of the 7 years" in North America) (1754-1787).
Stage-2. "The initial Republic", the territorial expansion and its collapse (1787-1861).
Rupture-2. The Civil War and the Reconstruction (1861-1877).
Stage-3. "The Golden Era", the "new Empire" and "The Age of Reforms" (1877-1929)
Rupture-3. "The 1929 crack" and the "New Deal" (1929-1941)
Stage-4a: From World War to the Cold War (1941-1990)
Stage-4b: From "The End of History" to "The Unfinished Nation" (1990-2021).
