Class attendance is fundamental since the student should not only learn to deliver a speech, but also to evaluate other speakers and learn from their mistakes. Students must have delivered at least two speeches during the course to be able to take the second exam about the theoretical contents of the course. Apart from the test, a session will be held for those who have not been able to deliver all their speeches before end of course. |

There is no subject that can be considered a continuation of the present one. Nevertheless. any subject related to pronunciation and/or grammar will undoubtedly improve future oral presentations.
The students are also recommended to attend as many talks, seminaries and conferences as possible in English and even in other languages. This helps the students form a criteria about the most positive characteristics of a speech. It will also give them ideas about what to do and what not to do in their own presentations. Attending this kind of events will also be considered a positive point and could slightly increase the final mark.
Political meetings and debates, live or on TV, are other useful means of improving the students' skills and knowledges in the field. |
