The course aims at understanding various types of texts which students might come across in the world of work. The texts cover a variety of subjects such as chemistry, economy, travel, food and interpersonal relations. |

Analysis of the language used at work, conferences and presentations. |

How to write a cv, responding to faxes, taking and writing messages, describing places, things and people. |
Communication skills. |
How to work in a cooperative manner in a team. |

At the beginning of the course students will become familiar with basic concepts used in industry. |

Students will receive tuitions about grammar concepts governing the English syntax. |

Students will prepare oral presentations about any topic related to the world of engineering. |

A wide range of exercises will be practised during the course. Students will work either individually or in teams. |
