General description and relevant information This course is intended to offer a deep insight into some complex aspects of the grammar of English from a theoretical and empirical point of view.

Students are expected to read assigned material and prepare reading material and exercises at home prior to class time, in order to be able to participate in class.

Instructions for the paper and presentation (topics, deadline, schedule, etc) will be given on the first day of classes.

No late paper will be accepted.

No tests will be taken outside scheduled dates and times.

Convocatòria 1: 8 marks (6 tests, oral presentations, term paper) and a minimum of 50% in the tests' global mark are required for the computation of the final grade

Convocatòria 2: there will be a final exam worth 100%.
