General description and relevant information The main aim of the course is to discuss and analyze in depth the complexities of the English verb phrase from a theoretical and practical perspective. Students will become acquainted with the type of argumentation used in linguistic analysis.

Students can arrange a meeting in visiting hours to solve doubts concerning course contents, exercises, or assessment.

Students are expected to read assigned material and prepare reading material and exercises at home prior to class time, in order to be able to participate in class.

No late assignments/paper will be accepted.

No tests/exams will be taken outside scheduled dates and times.

In order to pass 1ª convocatòria students will be required to pass both tests. In case they fail one of the parts, they will have to go to segona convocatòria but they will only take the test on the part they have failed.

The 2ª convocatòria will consist of a final exam worth 100%.


During the exams, any mobile telephone, tablet or other device that has not been expressly authorized for the exam must be switched off and out of view.

Any attempt to pass any exam of any subject by fraudulent means (be this physical or electronic) will result in the student being awarded a fail for the exam in question.
