Methodologies

	Description
Introductory activities	Introduction to the contents of the course, objectives, exercises and evaluation procedures, etc. Brief introduction to the lectures in the course reader.
Lecture	Lecture in which the professor will develop and explain one or several topics of the course program. Eventually, some concepts will be introduced to make the reading more accessible.
Seminars	Small group discussion of the content of the readings. Preparation of the final course project.
Previous studies	Preparatory readings (1 per week) that will serve as a complement of the main lectures. Writing of a short summary of the texts (a few paragraphs).
Personal tuition	Individual and personal advice on the potential problems with the subjet matter of the course, and on the final project.

Final project consists on the writing of a critical text, to be integrated in a group project (magazine or publication), with the guidance of the professor. Min length: 12.000 chars.

Objective short-answer tests

Weekly answer to a brief questionnaire on the topics covered that week, and on the compulsory readings (online, via moodle).

Active participation in classroom discussion, and during the seminar sessions. Positive attitude towards group work (leadership, initiative); etc.


Other comments and second exam session
This course offers alternative teaching for students of AESTHETICS (ESTÈTICA, architecture 2005 studies). The course will be taught entirely in english. The second call exam consists in: (1) a written research and critical paper (12.000 chars), on a subject previously agreed with the professor; (2) an oral exam (20min) on any of the subject matters of the course.
