General description and relevant information The ability to communicate proficiently in English is of the utmost importance, as this constitutes “tool of the trade” for the students of this major. In this course, the students will practise and improve their speaking and listening skills.

Activitats Introductòries The subjects, work plan, evaluation system and moodle will be presented during the first session of the course.
Resolució de problemes, exercicis a l'aula ordinària The seminars are divided into 3 hours along the week and include the training in speaking and listening skills.
Seminaris During the lecture sessions the students will learn about the theories on the spoken discourse as well as its characteristics. Listening techniques and strategies will also be approached.
