Description |
Due to the current emergency health situation, in the 2020-21 academic year students will be able to consult their teachers in individual and/or group tutorials if they have any questions or queries on subject-related issues. Students will receive a schedule for these tutorials at the start of the course and will be informed about what form they will take (i.e. whether they will be held face-to-face, online and via videoconferences, via email or on Moodle, etc.). |

This teaching guide is provisional only. If any health emergency arises, it will be adapted in order to comply with the directives issued by the competent bodies. Any modification will be announced via the news forum on the Moodle online campus. Given the nature of this course and its emphasis on oral practice, students are expected to attend lectures and participate actively in class activities. 2ª CALL: The guidelines for the second call are as follows: You need to successfully complete all the assignments specified below. Failure to complete any of them will result in you failing the whole subject. MIND ALL THE DEADLINES. 1. You have to prepare 1 PRESENTATION: (60% of the final grade) · It should be original (not recycled) and based on an academic topic related to the field of English Studies. In January, and two weeks before the examination at least, you should discuss the possible topic of your presentation with the course instructors. · Your presentation should last for 15 minutes at least. You may use powerpoint or Prezi. Your powerpoint document should be submitted by the end of January. Your performance will be assessed by both course instructors. · You are expected to ask questions during the Q&A period of other students delivering presentations.
