Descripción general e información relevante

The aims of this course is: a) to examine representative works of drama; b) to learn the principal techiniques for analyzing, understanding, evaluating and enjoying a play both as a literary construct and spectacle; and c) to improve the student´s ability to read critically and pleasurably.

This subject will be taught face-to-face as far as is possible within the instructions of the health authorities. At the start of the academic year, the calendar containing all teaching activities (with timetables and classrooms) will be available in the subject's Moodle area.

There will be office hours. Students should take benefit of them in order to ask questions, querries, discuss details of the syllabus and content of the course.

During the 2021-22 academic year, students will be given individual and/or group tutorials during which they can resolve any questions that may have about the subject. Tutorials may be face-to-face or online. At the start of the academic year, students will be informed about how these personalised tutorials will take place (timetables, whether they will be face-to-face, by email, Moodle, etc.)

Otros comentarios y segunda convocatoria

The students who do not reach the 50% of the above-mentioned requirements will have a scheduled second chance, as well as those who have not opted to go through the continuous assessment (for further details see the course syllabus). This second chance will be the same for all students (both those who failed the continuous assessment and those who opted for the final class exercise), and will consist in a final class exercise of 20 questions (100%). These questions will be based on the units included in the syllabus (short definitions of concepts, identifications of names, titles, characters, short contextualizations of excerpts from the texts analyzed ...).

If the public health situation requires a reduction in physical attendance, examination will be adapted to comply with the directives issued by the relevant organisations. Any changes will be notified via the news forum on Moodle.
