Descripció general i informació rellevant In this course we analyze the complexities of the English noun phrase and other complex structures – subordination and topicalization processes – from a theoretical and practical perspective. Students will be introduced to the type of argumentation used in linguistic analysis.

Students are expected to read assigned material and prepare reading material and exercises at home prior to class time, in order to be able to participate in class.

Instructions for the paper and presentation (topics, deadline, etc) will be given on the first day of classes.

No late assignments/paper will be accepted.

No tests/exams will be taken outside scheduled dates and times.

Convocatòria 1: 5 marks (assignments, tests, oral presentation, term paper, final exam) and a minimum of 50% in the final exam are required for the computation of the final grade

Convocatòria 2: there will be a final exam worth 100%.
