General description and relevant information <p> A practical course in Specialised English-Spanish translation, intended to be taken following the Introduction to Translation course. </p><div><br /></div><div>This subjects combines online and face-to-face classes. The weight on each has not been assigned yet for 2020-21. When the subjects starts, the calendar of the subject’s space in the virtual campus (moodle) will include all the required teaching activities (as well as schedule and clasroom numbers if applicable).<br /></div>

Obté consciència dels errors més comuns que es produeixen en el procés de transferència entre l’anglès i l’espanyol/català, a fi d’identificar-los i corregir-los.

Localitza dades lingüístiques i no lingüístiques necessàries per a completar qualsevol traducció.

Note: this course is not designed for student who cannot attend class. Tutorials will not be used to compensate for absence.

Personalized attention
Description

Due to the current emergency health situation, in the 2020-21 academic year students will be able to consult their teachers in individual and/or group tutorials if they have any questions or queries on subject-related issues. Students will receive a schedule for these tutorials at the start of the course and be informed what form they will take (i.e. whether they will be held face-to-face, online, via email or on Moodle, etc.).

In the context of the emergency health situation, current information on the evaluation process in this teaching guide might have to be adapted to meet the guidelines established by the relevant stakeholders. Any modification will be announced on the news forum in the virtual campus (Moodle).

Segona Convocatòria: A final exam amounting to a 100% of the final mark will be available for students who fail on the basis of the coursework. It will consist of a comprehensive final written test on the topics covered in class and a translation for which extensive documentation is required.
