Work placement |
60-hour internship, distributed in daily 2-3 hour shifts under the supervision of a professional tutor from the student's destination entity. The activities to be developed by the student will be related to translation English-Spanish-English individually or collaboratively. The student will work with computer tools commonly used as word processors or specific software such as translation memories or subtitling programs. Also, they can be assigned revision or postediting tasks to and from English. |
Report |
Self-assessment of the degree of acquisition of the competences set for the professional internship on a scale of 1 to 7. A reasoned assessment will have to be made in relation to the following questions:
• List of problems raised and the procedure followed for their resolution.
• Identification of the contributions that, in terms of learning, have led to practices.
• Evaluation of internship and suggestions for improvement. |

Description

The professional internship is managed by the internship coordinator, who is in charge of establishing contact and
relationship with the companies, the academic tutor, who is in charge of
the follow-up, and the professional tutor, who works for the company in which the student performs the practices. The
mechanisms for monitoring the practices are articulated through
periodic meetings (face-to-face or virtual by videoconference) between
the professional tutor and the academic tutor and between the academic
tutor and the student. |

Final Report: the student must defend and in which he has to self-assess the degree of acquisition of the competencies set for external practices on a scale of 1 to 7. Likewise, will have to make a rationale in relation to the following issues:
• List of problems raised and the procedure followed for their resolution.
• Identification of the contributions that, in terms of learning, have led to practices.
• Evaluation of practices and suggestions for improvement.
The academic tutor is responsible for evaluating the interim follow-up report and the final report.
