General description and relevant information La globalització no sols comporta la mobilitat de mercaderies, capitals i persones, sinó que també ha accelerat considerablement els fluxos de coneixement entre països. Aquesta matèria s’ocupa d’aquesta dimensió de l’economia actual. La circulació internacional de coneixement es duu a terme des de diferents vessants. El coneixement està incorporat en la maquinaria i els instruments que van dels països situats a la frontera tecnològica cap als països més endarrerits, les patents i el programari informàtic, entre d’altres suports. Aprofundir en el paper que juguen les inversions d’R+D i les innovacions en les societats actuals i, en paral·lel, veure com afecten al benestar dels països i els fluxos internacionals de tecnologia ens permetrà observar la importància dels del coneixement en el món actual.
