General description and relevant information <p>The information published in this guide corresponds to face-to-face classes and can serve as a guide. Due to the health emergency caused by COVID-19 there may be changes in teaching, assessment and calendars for the academic year. These changes will be reported in the Moodle space of each subject.</p><p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT: En aquesta assignatura es tracta la generació, la transmissió i la recepció de contingut digital multimèdia, amb un enfoc orientat a Internet. També es tracten els serveis de comunicacions telefòniques i de videoconferència. </p>

 RT7 Understand and use the basic principles of programming for telecommunication networks, systems and services.
 RT13 Have the ability to differentiate the concepts of access and transport networks, circuit and packet switching networks, fixed and mobile networks, as well as distributed network systems and applications, and voice, data, audio, video, interactive and multimedia services.
 RT14 Understand the methods for interconnecting networks and routing and the fundamentals of the planning and dimensioning of networks in accordance with traffic parameters
 ST1 Ability to understand, construct, exploit and manage telecommunications networks, services, processes and applications as transmission systems for capturing, transporting, representing, processing, storing, managing and presenting multimedia information.
 TEL1 Be able to construct, use and manage telecommunications networks, services, processes and applications, understood to be systems of capture, transport, representation, processing, storage, management and presentation multimedia information from the point of view of the telematics services.
 TEL3 Be able to construct, use and manage telematics services using tool analytical tools for planning, dimensioning and analysis.
