General description and relevant information
The objectives of the subject are to provide the student with the necessary knowledge to know how plants work, and how they grow and develop. In the more practical part, we propose to familiarize the student with a biological laboratory and complete the more theoretical aspects, to give them a better understanding.

This subject consists of two well-differentiated parts: the THEORY-SEMINAR BLOCK of Plant Physiology (with a weight of 60% on the final mark), AND THE PRACTICAL BLOCK of General Biology (Theory taught in the 1st semester, plus the Practical of Plant Physiology itself (with a weight on the final grade of 40%))

To PASS this subject, the student must have achieved a 5.00 in the average of the previous BLOCKS, as long as the scores for each part are not lower than 4.00

Each of the BLOCKS consists of different parts to examine or to obtain a grade: 1) THEORY-SEMINARS BLOCK consists of two parts and will have two exams, one for each part; 2) BLOCK OF PRACTICES in General Biology, consists of 4 parts where each teacher will evaluate according to his criteria. On the first day of the course, the student will be informed in detail of the parts of each block. A student passes one of the PARTS of the corresponding BLOCK when he gets a grade equal to or higher than 5.00. If the student in question achieves a grade between 4.99 and 4.00, he can average with another or other parts of the same BLOCK.

All these assessment tests will be official in so far as they will be published in the student's exam calendar (FE website) and will configure the two official calls. Equally, the teacher may propose other tests or assessment exercises by mutual agreement with the student. In this case, the student will be able to choose or not freely according to the new requirements generated by the occasion, without losing any rights (keeping the official tests).

Students who do not pass the 1st exam call will have another chance in the 2nd call. This will consist of a test and/or an oral exam (colloquium). If it is the THEORY-SEMINARS BLOCK, in the 2nd convocation the student will be examined for the entire subject. In the case of the PRACTICE BLOCK, in the 2nd call, you will only have to recover the part you have suspended.

The approved PRACTICE BLOCK is saved for 1 year. The suspended PRACTICE BLOCK must be taken again the following year, even if it is only a part.

When tests are carried out, and always for the proper functioning of them, the student must sign up for Moodle beforehand to be able to take them (following the teacher's instructions).

Compulsory attendance subject for both Theory and Seminars.

Particular cases and justified exceptions will be taken into account. The teacher will always have the final decision and/or resolution.

The COORDINATOR reserves the right to make any changes he deems appropriate, always for the good of his students.

During assessment tests, mobile phones, tablets and other devices that are not expressly authorized by the test must be turned off and out of sight.

Demonstrably fraudulent completion of any assessment activity of any subject, both in physical and virtual and electronic support, will result in the student receiving a failing grade for this assessment activity. Regardless of this, given the seriousness of the facts, the center can propose the initiation of a disciplinary file, which will be initiated by a resolution of the rector.

Other comments
Aquesta assignatura, a part de tenir la vessant de comprensió dels processos biològics i la seva aplicació i extrapolació a la vinya, hi ha una vessant memorística potent. CALEN MOLTES HORES D'ESTUDI.
