General description and relevant information
The course is scheduled to be taught in person and this presence will be maintained if the regulations that may be issued by the health authorities and other competent bodies do not say otherwise, and the capacity requirements allow it. If there are changes they will be reported to the Moodle space of the subject.

Construction I is focused on the introduction of the basic parameters of construction like: - The knowledge of architectural traditions and their technical, climatic, economic, social and ideological foundations. - The knowledge and observation of the construction materials, their physical characteristics, the manufacturing procedures, the analysis and the applications of the materials used in construction. - The coherence between the material, the constructive system and the form, technical use of the construction vocabulary and initiation to the students in the need to form a catalog of materials and constructive solutions based on the constructed reality. - Schedule the connection with the architectonical projects commenting on materials to be used in their designs, thinking about the properties and application, relating the interest in the investigation with the rationality and the real possibility of the proposals.
