General description and relevant information <div>The course is scheduled to be taught in person and this presence will be maintained if the regulations that may be issued by the health authorities and other competent bodies do not say otherwise, and the capacity requirements allow it. If there are changes they will be reported to the Moodle space of the subject.</div><div><br /></div><p>Analysis of the basic and general concepts of geotechnics and repercussions on the different types of existing terrain. Analysis of water in the field and operation. Geological risk assessment and terrain pathologies. Analysis of foundations and containment structures and evaluation of terrain thrusts and maximum allowable pressures. Evaluation and study of the geotechnical study</p>

Other comments and second exam session

The evaluation of the subject will be carried out as follows:

- Practical exercise of geotechnical zoning of an area where different infreastructure-buildings musst be built: an underground parking lot, a low-density residential area and a sports are or similar. This exercise will be carried out with groups of up to 3 people and will allow the organization of a territory taking into acconunt the geotechnical characteristics and the geological risks affected.

-Test tipy with geotechical issues and specific problems. It will be individual and is class time (you can have the notes of the subject and complementay documentation)

Assesment of the subject: practical exercise of geotechnical zoning (75%) and test type test (25%)

Second call

In the case of not passing the course with the continuous evaluation, there will be a second call where the evaluation will be carried out with the same course formula. A new study area will be proposed to characterize.
