1.Theory A series of lectures and master classes will be held on the historical and technical context of the work to be carried out in the course.
2. Surveying ("Recreative topography") Manufacture of topography devices to solve simple surveying and alignment problems from scratch.
3. Representation In consultation with these experts, and having surveying data, the most appropriate representation and analysis technique will be selected to make the detailed drawing of the selected building or environment.
4. Interpretation Thanks to the knowledge obtained during the course, each group will be proposed an analysis exercise of a period or related aspect of the building.

Methodologies
  Description
Introductory activities Introduction to the course. Explanation of the exercises. Explanation of the final exam.
Lecture Experts from different disciplines (archaeologists, museologists, restaurateurs, etc.) will be invited, who are involved in the study, conservation, restoration, reconstruction, etc. of these buildings.
Fieldwork/excursions Field visits to the work under study. Survey of an architectural object or building. The learned techniques for the taking of data and / or measurements will be applied.
Problem solving, exercises in the classroom Home and classroom resolution of problems with the following topics:

1: Surveying: A building will be measured or surveyed (individual or group). Each group will choose the most suitable surveying method among all those that are available (topography, photo framing, laser, tape measure, etc.).

2. Representation: In consultation with these experts, the most appropriate representation and analysis technique will be selected in order to perform the detailed drawing of the building.

3. Interpretation: Thanks to the knowledge obtained during the course, an analysis exercise of an age or related aspect of the building will be proposed to each group.

Description
All activities (except the master classes) will take place in guided laboratory and field sessions, where students will make the necessary representations of the work with the guidance of the expert and the teaching staff.

The course will be evaluated basically by means of a series of practical exercises (2-4) that will be carried out in the classroom with the help of the teacher (workshop) and at home. They will comrise:
(1) the surveying of a historical building and its representation: Model 2D and / or 3D (individual or group);
(2) A scientific work of historical interpretation: bibliographic research, graphic representation, scientific memory, etc. (individual or group)
(3) Possibly a final summary work of the course

Other comments and second exam session

The second call will have the same requirements and evaluation criteria as the first. Due to the fact that the subject is eminently practical, and the cumulative results, it will not be possible to attend evaluation at the second call without following the course (consult with the responsible professors).
