Descripció general i informació rellevant The course gives an insight into the principles of empirical research in Translation Studies, including topic selection, research design, hypothesis development and modes of explanation.

Activitats Introductòries Introduce students to the basic skills needed for research in the general field of Translation Studies
Seminaris Give students a practical idea of central norms and issues in empirical research. Attention is paid to objectives of research in the empirical disciplines, to rigorous rationale, to practical issues in topic selection and in research design and implementation in the context of TS where most scholars have had no or little training in empirical research.
