Descripció general i informació rellevant This course is addressed to English Philology students who wish to practice and improve their writing skills. 1. To improve one's own writing skills. [Saber Fer] 2. To plan and organize one's own written work. [Saber Fer] 3. To practice one's own writing skills at the outline, sentence, paragraph and text level. [Saber Fer] 4. To identify and analyze the main characteristics of 5 different types of writing: description, narration, letter, argumentation and exposition. [Saber; Saber Fer] 5. To produce compositions of a descriptive, narrative, epistolary, argumentative and expository nature. [Saber Fer] 6. To apply various methods of written work revision, editing and correction to both one's own and others' written work. [Saber; Saber Fer] 7. To acquaint oneself with the most common errors made by native speakers of Spanish and/or Catalan when writing in English in order to be able to identify and correct them.
