  TÈCNIQUES DE REDACCIÓ EN LLENGUA ANGLESA
   Objectius
This course is addressed to English Philology students who wish to practice and improve their writing skills. 1. To improve one's own writing skills. [Saber Fer] 2. To plan and organize one's own written work. [Saber Fer] 3. To practice one's own writing skills at the outline, sentence, paragraph and text level. [Saber Fer] 4. To identify and analyze the main characteristics of 5 different types of writing: description, narration, letter, argumentation and exposition. [Saber; Saber Fer] 5. To produce compositions of a descriptive, narrative, epistolary, argumentative and expository nature. [Saber Fer] 6. To apply various methods of written work revision, editing and correction to both one's own and others' written work. [Saber; Saber Fer] 7. To acquaint oneself with the most common errors made by native speakers of Spanish and/or Catalan when writing in English in order to be able to identify and correct them. [Saber; Saber Fer; Saber Estar/Ser] 8. To talk about and discuss issues related to the organization and contents of one's own written work. [Saber Fer; Saber Estar/Ser] 9. To practice reading one's own written work aloud to an audience. [Saber Fer] 10. To use the new technologies to acquire knowledge, carry out tasks, solve problems and improve aspects related to one's own English language learning process. [Saber; Saber Fer] 11. To value the importance of responsibility, self-organization, self-discipline and consistency when carrying out individual and group work as necessary qualities for personal development.
