General description and relevant information | This module will focus on the literature of Romanticism and the Victorian Age. The Romantics stressed emotion, spontaneity, the imagination and originality. Many of them were rebels and revolutionaries who paved the way for the social reforms of the nineteenth century. Victorian literature engaged with topics ranging from sensation to science fiction, from social awareness to sexuality and from science to fantasy. | |||||||||||||||||
