Introductory activities Activities to make contact and collect information from students. Course presentation.
Laboratory practicals 1) Assessment of the student body parameters: determining the complexion and fat content. Assessment of energy expenditure.
2) Determination of urea and creatinine in urine samples of students undergoing protein diet.
3) Determination of ascorbic acid levels in urine samples of students, refreshments and vegetables.
4) Perform blood glucose curve of students. Response to massive sugar intake.
5) Obtain samples of animals of experimentation: fasted animals and feed animals.
Dissection and obtaining of samples
Evaluation of glycogen content in liver, muscle and adipose tissue.
