General description and relevant information |
This is a transversal subject for different grades of the URV in which the gender perspective will be applied to the contents of the various fields of knowledge. The aim is to make known the current inequalities between men and women and to give students tools to understand their causes as well as to propose mechanisms to promote effective equality between men and women from the professional practice of each field of knowledge. The subject will have a modular structure so that the student will compulsorily take two modules with generic content and will also choose several modules with specific content according to their interests and the elective credits in their degree. This subject will be taught in a virtual mode that combines synchronous and asynchronous teaching. In particular, three synchronous sessions are planned which are mandatory throughout the semester: one session at the beginning, one session towards the middle and the last session towards the end of the semester. At the start of the course, the calendar with all planned teaching activities (with timetables and virtual spaces) will be available on the subject's virtual campus (Moodle). All scheduled sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 3pm to 6pm. The three synchronous sessions are planned for the following dates, if there are no subsequent modifications and in the absence of confirmation later: Session 1 (initial): introductory seminar: Equality, science and politics. Channel teams of the subject Wednesday 21 February 2024: 3.00pm - 6.00pm Session 2 (intermediate): seminar Indicators with a gender perspective and reports with gender impact. Channel teams of the subject Wednesday March 6, 2024: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Session 3 (final): Human rights and evaluation tools for equality policies. Channel teams of the subject Wednesday, April 24, 2024: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. |
