General description and relevant information

Objectives of the subject: To know the production and transformation processes of the most important organic chemicals. Know the main fields of application of the different products and industrial intermediates. To know the historical evolution of the main production processes, factors that determine the changes and the prospects for the future in the context of the sustainability and depletion of fossil-sourced raw materials.

Methodology: Teaching will be face-to-face if the limitation in classroom capacity due to the health emergency allows it. If the number of students enrolled is greater than the allowed capacity in the assigned classroom, the teaching will be mixed (live and online) at scheduled times. The specific organization will be specified in the Moodle space of the subject according to the health emergency. Due to the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 there may be changes in teaching, assessment and calendars of the course 2020-21. These changes will be reported in the Moodle space of each subject.
